Designed by architect Geoff Pyle in Cambodia (under Pyle Architects), Borey Nagara Residential Resort, the 7 hectare project is located on the north edge of the town of Siem Reap in the north of Cambodia.
The master-plan which contains commercial, arts and residential buildings, aims to create an integrated neighbourhood as well as establishing a model for urban development in the surrounding area. Close to the main road, public open spaces are contained by shops, offices and restaurants.
Further into the site are a theater and hotel. Beyond these is a residential area with 300 apartments and 34 houses, along with a sports facilities, club and reception. Low energy systems, natural ventilation and water recycling are key parts of the concept.
